Sheena Burnell – MBBS, FANZCA
Originally trained as anaesthetist, I have lived and worked both in Australia and overseas, and during my years in the operating room, seen first-hand the impact of lifestyle choices on the body. The further I progressed in my career the more I realised that despite the many advances in modern medicine, we were long overdue for a shift in the way we thought about healthcare and disease prevention. With the advent of the global pandemic and the obvious effect that poor health had on disease impact and resilience, I undertook further training and established a unique medical practice focusing specifically on lifestyle and longevity medicine. My aim is to optimise my patients’ current health and then provide them with the knowledge and tools to live their maximum healthy years. I have special interests in nutritional medicine, exercise medicine, epigenetics and the genome, the gut microbiome, preservation of brain health & cognitive function, sleep optimisation, hormonal support, and maximising longevity.
