We know that to solve the problems of today, requires a different way of thinking. We also know that organisations are only as successful as the collective consciousness of its leadership team. My mission through my work as a Leadership Excellence Mentor is to elevate leadership consciousness. In doing so we have the ability to solve current challenges and prepare the solutions for future challenges. The reality is that leading ourselves is often the most difficult task we face every day. Knowing that when we hurt, we are potentially hurting others. When we are poor leaders of our self, imagine the impact that this has on others. It is in the “inner world” where the transformation occurs. The shift from the reactive into the creative requires us to begin from within. Our effectiveness in the “outer world” is determined by what lies within us. Drawing from global research and learning from the best in leadership transformation, I lead people to the truth of who they are. My superpower is that I can see and feel the innate potential within each person. In my extensive corporate career I had the honour and privilege to lead teams at all levels, in a diverse range of organisations. Driven by the experiences in my early career of what poor leadership looked and felt like. I made a Vow that I would strive to be the best possible leader that I could be.
Leading a successful whole of organisation transformation offered the impetus for me to step off the corporate scene and step into developing courageous, compassionate, conscious of excellent character. To lead for a future that is peaceful, respectful, and kind where equity and equality are at the heart of who we are.
