Kellie Wilkie is a Managing Director and Principal Physiotherapist of BODYSYSTEM in Hobart. Kellie started this business in 2001 and now manages 16 professional and 6 administrative staff alongside a dynamic and engaged leadership team. In 2009, Kellie was awarded the Young Telstra Business Woman of the year for Tasmania. Kellie is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist and was the Lead Physiotherapist for Rowing Australia in the Rio Olympic cycle. Kellie travelled with The Australian Rowing Team for 9 consecutive years including being an Australian Olympic Team Physiotherapist for the 2012 London and 2016 Rio games. Kellie is passionate about ensuring that lessoned learned in the elite environment can be transferred into preventing injury for developing athletes. Kellie has recently been involved in the research and the publication of several papers in the prestigious British Journal of Sports Medicine in relation to low back pain in sport and rowing. Kellie is a clinician with special interest in the sporting spine and shoulder girdle, she currently educates other Physiotherapists both within her business, nationally and internationally due to her mix of clinical and research skills. Most importantly, Kellie is a business owner that is passionate about providing a work environment that prioritises the health and wellbeing of all staff – something she has taken very seriously since starting her business more than 20years ago.
