Robyn Taylor
Having lived in Africa, UK, Italy, Scandinavia and studied in the USA, Robyn chooses the beautiful environs of the Australian east coast and Brisbane as her base.
Some career highlights: marketing and public relations for casino resorts in Swaziland and Lesotho; HR management in South African fashion chain; national marketing of Australian training systems; management consultancy, leadership coaching and guest speaking in USA, Scandinavia and South Africa. A significant achievement was realising her goal to secure the IKEA franchise for Brisbane. As Co-Franchisee and Project Manager, Robyn built the original 8000 sqm IKEA outlet, managing and marketing the retail operation.
Following an earlier diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, she identified the importance of developing a strong foundation of values to achieve fulfilment and living to purpose to provide balance and happiness in everyday life. World-wide there are few successful management consultants who have also trained as traditional yoga teachers, the ancient science of yoga and meditation being Robyn’s passion.
In some programs and projects, Robyn offers a unique blend of ancient Eastern philosophies and modern leadership practices, sharing practical models for others to enjoy the benefits in business, corporate and personal lives. Her e-Book, The Meditating Manager, published by Australian Institute of Management, was AIM’s bestseller for three consecutive years.
The recipient of a number of business awards, Robyn has operated her own businesses for over 30 years. Her company, Concept Training & Management, grew to become regional Queensland’s largest privately-owned training provider and management consultancy. Robyn’s work is primarily in strategic planning, business establishment, leadership development, executive coaching and large scale change management projects in Australia and overseas, servicing a wide diversity of clients in retail, finance, coal, sugar, service, hospitality industries and the public sector.
