Lorilie Cunningham, Bachelor of Commerce (Univ of QLD)

Lorilie Cunningham graduated from the University of Queensland with Bachelor of Commerce and worked as a Taxation & Business Accountant before embarking on varied careers in owning and running various businesses in fashion and interior design.  A major part of her career path saw her as CFO and together with her husband Gary were founding owners of Results Physiotherapy based in Nashville Tennessee in the US. The company at time of sale in 2021 had grown to more than 200 clinics in 9 different states in the US and is one of the largest privately held outpatient physical therapy companies in the US.

For the past 10 years, Lorilie has been involved in investing in start-ups and charity work, but in the past few years heavily involved  with her family’s Racing and Breeding activities through Cunningham Thoroughbreds.  The Breeding operations are based at Ridgmont Farm in the Hunter Valley where on 500 acres, Cunningham Thoroughbreds is building up a very significant client base and broodmare band with the aim to breed and present to sale, top tier racehorses.

Lorilie is passionate about raising funds to help women suffering Domestic Violence, Breast Cancer and horse welfare and equine therapy.  She was the biggest ever single fundraiser for Dancing CEOs in 2021 raising over $160,000 for Women’s Legal Service.  She is taking back to the stage again in May this year in the All Stars Dancing CEOs Gala and plans to completely raise the roof on this amount.  Lorilie has also been very active in raising funds for Breast Cancer after her diagnosis in 2021 and was named the Community Hero for the Mater Foundation.  Lorilie’s love for horses lead her to Chairing  Well Groomed Racing, a group of passionate horse loving women raising funds for Equine Therapy and Horse welfare post racing.

However, her absolute number 1 passion is her husband of 43 years Gary, her 4 children and their partners, and her 10 precious grandbabies.
