Her genuine interest in understanding her clients and their businesses has fostered strong, lasting relationships.

Professional Journey

Kate embarked on her journey in the General Insurance industry in 2004, after working on cattle stations as a governess she joined the family business while finishing her studies to become an early childhood teacher. 

After staring in the office, she soon discovered her true calling within the insurance sector, captivated by its endless opportunities and the wealth of knowledge it offered. As a third-generation insurance professional, Kate found a natural fit in the industry, continuing a family legacy that spans over 60 years.

In 2010, Kate took over managing the General Insurance team following her mother’s unexpected retirement due to health reasons. Under her leadership, the team’s gross written premium doubled within four years, earning back-to-back awards for excellence. In 2021, Kate purchased the family business from her father, proudly stepping into the role of Director 17 years after her initial entry. Her team has been recognized as a Gold Practice by Resilium Insurance Broking for five consecutive years. In 2023, Kate was selected for Hollard’s 12-month Aspire Women Leaders program, dedicated to empowering professional women in the industry.

Personal Life

Outside of work, Kate embraces her role as a mum, often found at kids’ sports events or playing taxi driver. She indulges in retail therapy, enjoying a colourful love of fashion. Kate also cherishes reading, spending time with great company, and escaping to the country whenever possible. Recently, she discovered a passion for running, setting her sights on completing and finishing the Gold Coast half marathon.

Looking ahead, Kate aims to continue growing her business, supporting her team, and inspiring other women in the industry. She is committed to continuous learning and professional development, striving to reach new heights and set a benchmark for excellence in the insurance sector.
